Reverendbiker's Farm Tools

This page is dedicated to the heavy equipment that makes life on the farm much easier.  Though I still have the need for speed and appreciate a fast car or motorcycle, I still love and appreciate the hum of a diesel engine that works with hydraulics and gearing to do some heavy lifting.  Pictured above are our two workhorses--a 2007 John Deere 317 Skid Loader and a 2011 Kubota MX4700 tractor.  The skid steer is used primarily with a tree shear and grapple to remove brush from the property, but we also use the bucket for dirt work and a hay spear to move 1500-pound rolls of hay.  The tractor is the farm's jack-of-all-trades  and is used with the bucket, hay spear, 3-point auger and a 6-foot shredder to keep the pastures mowed.  Curious to see how these attachments work?
